On December 31, 2021, SOIE (School of International Education) invited associate professor Wang Yanlong, from Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to deliver a lecture themed on “Scientific Research Capability Improvement and Personal Development for University Counselors". The lecture was hosted by Tong Yunyun, Dean of SOIE, and attended by all staff and students of SOIE.

Professor Wang firstly talked about the importance of scientific research for university counselors, and showed great concern for them in carrying out scientific research based on their personal career and academic ability development, and pointed out the barriers and lessons learned in the process of college teachers' scientific research work in individual case. At the same time, Professor Wang also gave in-depth guidance on the practical operation of scientific research paper writing and publication, such as project declaration, topic selection, paper writing, contribution and journal selection.
